Out the 2 the first is sadly better.
Edit I like the simpler look of the first also don't seem like Peppino has that much of a gut in the game.

in the older drawing he doesn't have a jowl and looks more "fit" or "thin", while this Peppino has more fat, like the original Peppino
btw you don't have to repeat the same comment in both drawings, with one is enough
This is really good and pretty accurate to the characters from pizza tower
