i had half-started the lion torso on this one probably a year ago. wanted to finish it but had to redraw basically all of it. its still looks too vacant to me, but i wanted one more in before month's end. throw the horns

Your art is fucking beautiful, I'd say better than most of what I've seen anywhere in a long time. I don't have much I can say, it's too good for my moronic caveman vocabulary. You're really, really, really, really, reeeeeaaally good.

5 stars is not enough.

sucho responds:

pffffft there are so many stellar artists here on ng i can't hope to compete with! but thank you :3. you can look out tonight on my news page as i'll be opening up commissions, but even if thats not up your alley i hope to be putting out lots more stuff on my newgrounds page this year

Maybe some acid would turn this into a kickass movie XD Nice job though.

Love it, it reminds me of old medieval illustrations, like 'the garden of earthly delights' or something, but in a properly clean and modern rendering. Definitely worth pursuing, this sort of thing. Also like how you covered lion-man's junk, very clever/tasteful! The 3/4 transparencies of the bone and muscle, the hand, the central figure above it all, even the background all gel nicely.

sucho responds:

thanks, it was hard. i do love me some junk, but yeah i'm a big fan of Bosch and the like. the renaissance may have given us technique, but nothing forces the hand of creativity like the primitive earthy fear-mongering of the dark ages.
