I have no idea what the number 23 has to do with this. Ooh, reminds me of that crappy Jim Carrey movie. Is that the age you were turning when you made this? This is a great picture anyway. It's another one where you can look closer and find new stuff in it. I especially like the orange peel at the bottom.
That blue suit looks like it's painted on. The nipples certainly seem naked. I liked all the bright colors. Doesn't make any sense, but is very well done. I think it's even unique for your style.
is that 5th element and the Rutles
Ok- I know this is probably a stupid question but: GLOW PALATES, HOW U DO THAT? D:
Also on the more serious note, I'm diggin' the whole tripped out composition of the piece. Gotta love it when you can balance asymmetry like that. as far as texture and technique go, its fantastic. it feels like dancing in and out with cell shading-- like you just slapped reality, called it a slut and told it to go make you a sandwich. Not that misogyny is encouraged, of course.
glow palates? well if you're talking about the border, i achieve that in photoshop by right clicking the layer i want it on > blending options > outer glow > go nuts.
i still definitely need help on creating textures that are anything other than just well-lit amorphous blobs.
Makes you think... crazy thoughts.
Remember hearing about how Coca-Cola once had cocaine mixed in it? I bet if your common citrus soda were mixed with a little LSD, you'd get ads that looked like this.
...especially if nudity were allowed.
By the way, is that a real person you drew, or just someone you conjured up out of imagination? I feel from the face and lower body... she seems modeled after someone very real to you.
DONTCHA WANNA FANTA?
yeah this is in a line of annual self-portraits starting with the submission 21, although this is the first to not have just me in
I wish i could paint like you
i found out the hard way that it doesnt have anything to do with experimental mind-altering drugs.
by not having fun doing experimental mind-altering drugs and painting instead.
