Mario Stage

Author Comments

I had a lot of fun painting this picture. It was not an ACTUAL reference from a game in terms of composition but different elements from mario have been thrown in.

This is for an upcoming commercial campaign which revolves around gaming (i cant say too much!!). I thought it would be awesome to have a mario level, but with a dark feel to it, but keeping the vibrance and strong colours mario games have :D

Hope you guys like it :D

VERY NICE!! i love seeing dark fan art from very bright games like mario. it puts an artistic flavor on the game itself when you do that.

so you're the one

You're the one that painted this picture....this was my background on my desktop for like a year because i thought it was that amazing. Great job, i love all of your art and can't wait to find out that secret project in 2013.

Now this is what a Mario Stage should look like. With the graphics we have and the animation we can do today, I would love to see a game outta this picture. This is fantastic. The level looks crazy the way you drew this piece of artwork! I'm putting this one on my favorites list! Beautiful Work splosh999! :D
