HA HA, MR WILSON!
The "Tax Collectors" are a group of Evacandrian bodyguards who are hired by large corporations to watch on their consumers, to make sure that they are using their services enough, and will beat and harass customers if they don't use their services enough. These type of hired mercenaries are technically illegal by common planetary standards, but because of the corporations having as much control of Tervium's government as they do, it's not like anybody can really stop them from appearing. The most common "tax men" are from the Libveri Corporation, wearing their signature purple and orange color scheme. They also wear a more extreme version of typical clothing that men wear on the planet, having a more sharp and polygonal style than clothing found on other systems. They also tend to wear armor on only a single arm for maximum mobility with a one-handed blade, but have been seen with breastplates and even full helmets at times.
While they technically should be feared, it is important that a lot of them tend to be angsty teenagers or former felons who need a low paying job with no background checks. There are no laws that technically prevent them from being attacked in a self defense situation, and the general constables can get involved if a situation goes too far, but there is nothing stopping one of the major companies from blacklisting you if they found out about the physical altercation. This may not sound like much, but these companies have a large control over major services, such as the Libveri Corporation being the largest delivery service, and being the owners of many social media services on the planet. A blacklist from these people could mean no job. It could mean no food. It could be the end of your life as you know it in this day and age.

It's been a little bit since I made an original design, but I decided to make this character I have had in mind in a while. This character has been through development hell over the course of two months, so it feels good to finally have finished him unless I decide to change it later. I have an unfinished version of this image with a second character added for effect, but I was not pleased with the perspective and thought it was too much for a simple reference image. That image is shown below.
I have more in mind for the Evacandrius and their planet, but first I must develop their style of clothing better before I dive too deep into it. Stay tuned.
