I have a theory: Labby isn't real. He's actually a manifestation of Alfred's evil side. This is why in the end of the Alfred Alfer movie, once Alfred is at his most traumatized, as this means he would be easier to take control of. He also ditches him at the beginning in order for this to happen. it's why despite acting so in love with Alfred, he mentally tortures him with no hesitation. He doesn't want Alfred, but he wants his body. Like I said, Alfred was so mentally traumatized that it is slowly becoming easier for Labby to take over, due to Alfred being more submissive and vulnerable in this state. Now, you might be saying, what about Where the Dead go to Die? Well, it's proven that both Labby and Alfred exist there too, and if you believe this theory, Labby IS Alfred. The reason Labby can manipulates Tommy into believing what he did was for the greater good is because Alfred constantly tricks himself into thinking that. This also explains why in this comic, Alfred is much more the good guy in this issue. In his own subconscious, the other Alfreds can't control him, so he seems like a much better person than he usually does. I also think that Labby had played it smart by not manifesting himself into Alfred's subconscious, knowing full well that Alfred would kill them all, and now they they're dead, he's using this opportunity to use Alfred as his puppet.

SpanglishHorse responds:

yeah, sounds possible that Labby is Alfred all along, hence that i never watch The dead go to die movie but i soon will.
yeah, it's true that other Alters can't control Alfred because they're just figments of his subsconsiousness and Alfred was so traumatized he did became sumbissive and let his Alters take over himself just to escape reality and forgetting about it.
And yeah actually, they're not dead because they don't physically exist but Alfred emulates them against his will. in this comic, Alfred managed to remove his alters including Dictator Pickles completely ,he is now free from them and has become much stable than before, he is in under control now, but Labby is still around and you're right.
Labby didn't joined the torture at the Limbo until he appear in issue 3 because he has an idea for Alfred.
and at issue 3 he will help Alfred for revenge against Bob.
your theory gave me another idea, i was writing on the next issues after issue #3 and add some more dialogues based on your theory.
