There was a large break here between my last piece and this one. A little less than a month, where all I drew were sketches and doodles at work. Trying to get back into it drawing again, and going for a very different style.
After wasting all my time working on hatching and excessive amounts of lines, I am finally coming back to an old style I wanted to practice years ago, lineless. The main problem being that this style requires a very good understanding of colors that I dearly lack. Just like hatching, it takes me far too much time to make this. That may also be the rust coming off.
The hackfraud secret to lineless art, in case others are curious or I forget, is to just draw the entire thing with lines anyway. Then fill in/cover up all the lines with the same color. It becomes a mess with the amount of layers you have to juggle, but it lets you sketch out the drawing as if you were drawing in pencil rather than painting, while still ending up with the nice linesless finished product.
