HOLY SHIT. SOMEBODY ELSE REMEMBERS. I think that was superior to the animation version tbh. Specially the creature special effects. I'm so glad the artists I follow on NG have such patrician tastes.

I like the Iria OVA a lot, but it's really the two films where Amemiya's design/direction shows the most. There's such a cohesive culture to all the alien stuff, it's amazing.
