This is my work http://skye-izumi.deviantart.com/art/Tails-the-Kitsune-282880664?ga_submit_new=10%253A1385674607&ga_type=edit&ga_changes=1

As I got older, and got into watching more and more Anime, I begun to think of Tails as character, based on the Nine tails myth.

No the Nine Tailed fox is not based on Pokemon or Naruto, the Nine Tails myth as been around much longer than any anime, dating back to Feudal Japan Era.

I believe Tails was based on the Nine Tails, only difference is that he as two tails, not nine, or he's yet to grow the last seven tails.

-------------------------------

So I began seeing Tails a protential Nine tails, because of his two tails. Being a Nine tails, Tails is destined to grow more tails, or his tails will split into more.

Naturally letting the tails grow naturally, Tails would be fine, in adapting to the icrease in power and knowledge. Each new tail means an increase in power, agility and knowledge, eventaully surpassing all the other characters' natural abilities.

However, let's say the last seven tails were force grown all at once. The amount of Power growth would be too much for Tails to handle. Tails would lose his sense of reasoning, would become a rampaging unstoppable nine tails. It'd become a mindless Feetway Super Sonic would would attack everything be them friend or enemy.

In this picture, his tails have all been force grown all at once, and he's lost his mind, his mind cannot control the power increases. Unlike Chaos Emeralds, this is a natural increase in power, it's not limited, it's permintant.

As a Nine tails, Tails is most likely as powerful as the Seven Chaos Emeralds together, thus making him very dangerous.

Tails is in a blind rage, and cannot be reasoned with, the power increase is too great, for his mind.
