Colour Pencil on A5 (approx 8x6 inches) Sketchbook paper

This is my first artwork in 2 years, so I am incredibly grateful to Jazza for creating this art challenge which has inspired me to pull out my sketchbook again and have a go!

I was a little late discovering this art challenge, I started and finished this piece in just 2 days. For a very rushed piece, I'm pretty happy with this. I can see there's plenty wrong with it and could definitely do with some improvement.

If I had more time I would darken the bricks behind, possibly shading over the entire background in brown pencil, to make my characters stand out more and show they are in a Victorian sewer. I'd like to change my spider's stance a little, as it looks as though he is partly climbing the wall. I would also like to improve my figure drawing skills, as the proportions aren't quite right.

This has been a huge challenge for me, but I have really enjoyed doing it. Here's to more challenges and improving my art skills!
