He signs at you, signaling that you are almost at the rendezvous, your sigh of relief is suddenly cut short as you hear an explosion, and then, so are you.

Kievan Rus' equipment tends to be reliable, if cheap. It is said that it makes taking design shortcuts into an artform, still, their snipers are famed for their effectiveness, and can make the most out of any tool or situation given to them.

Standard equipment includes that nifty helmet you see, which also serves as a respirator/filter and has alternate vision modes.

A rumor has it that every hill and mountain on the Kievan Rus' border has a sniper nest somewhere on it.

Whether that is true or not, they are known to seemingly pop out of nowhere during conflicts, giving enemy soldiers a good scare while they are at it.
