Farewell Frank Frazetta

Share

Today on May the 10th of 2011 A.D marks the year anniversary of the passing of a comic/science fiction/fantasy artist Frank Frazetta. He died of a stroke at 82 years old. He's famous art-stile featured large muscular manly men with large swords,ax's and armor with robust and even rounded oversexedafide lady's at the men's side. Frazetta painted and sketched such iconic characters and painting like Conan,Vampirella,Shi,Tarz an, Deathdealer and characters form the amazing Fire and Ice cartoon. And on top of all of that he did art for CD covers for many 70's and 80's metal bands like Molly Hatchet's and Flirtin' With Disaster. Frank Frazetta's art will live on in ours hearts and mind's for all time

So if your still reading this ill be surprised cuz most likely i wouldn't be. Anyways im attempting to emulate the ways of Frazetta's art-stile. So you see here is a female Deathdealer(one of that characters Frazetta's did alot). So i analyzed his art for a day so i could truly emulate his voluptuous lady's with the manlyniss of a helmet with horns and a large ax. Hope you all like it

Frank Frazetta is one of the best man. Him and Simon Bisley are my favourite. I have Frazettas birdman tattoo'd across my ribs. Great work with the tribute :) This is from his drawing of Lord of the Rings right?
