I made a portrait of Walter White. Walter white is a fictional character in the show “breaking bad”.
In “Breaking bad” he is diagnosed with lung cancer and he is told that he only has one or two years left to live. But rather than just thinking that everything is hopeless he uses his limited time to make a fortune to leave his family.
I think this is a great quality not only for a man, but for a human being. Never giving up even if the situation looks grim. It’s true that when the character develops his motivation gets a bit shifted but his original intention is pure.
He is not only positive influence on male culture because of his purpose but also because of his overall character. He is not fiscally strong but uses his intellect and charisma to get out of hopeless situations and get his way. This is the complete opposite from the male role mode stereotype that portrait “big mussels” and “using violence” are the qualities that make a man.
My portrait tell the story of the dilemma Walter faces when choosing between his family and the business that made him feel respected and happy.
I made this portrait for the month of November challenge that jazza is giving.
