Culture Vs Nature

Author Comments

2 18x24' wood panels.

On the left panel is a guy from the future who's decked out in technology who never really sees the world for what it is. But he finally lifts up his vr and see the real world. On the other panel is a bunch of bunnies, peacfully living in nature that are looking up at him. This painting is a social commentary on how technology holds us back from enjoying experiences and admiring nature w/o showing it on social media for everyone to see. It's kinda ambiguous because we dont know whether he'll snapchat this or just let the moment sink in. This is also a commentary on Digital vs traditional art , so the technology side is drawn with colored pencil to look digitally worked and the bunny side is painted with acrylic paint. The man and the bunnies admiring each other represents, no matter what what medium of art you choose, digital or traditional, they can both be admired for what they are, which is ART.
