its so bright i feel so calm just looking at it even though its crowded
Livin' in the city...
Superb use of blur, there's nothing wrong with using it to focus on the important part of the painting as well as enhancing the look of the work. In the description two people are named (I am guessing the one wearing black and the one wearing white) but I noticed you didn't blur (or at least not so much) the person to the right of the white clothed girl, was there a purpose for this? Past the symbolism and purpose of the painting the work itself is great. As I mentioned the blur technique dominates the painting, the lighting I think is the most important part of the work and its what gives this painting the alignment to a warm positive emotion rather than a plain one given by most of the people in the painting. The lighting feels as if the farther you get away from the crowd the better things are. Shadows are minimal but well executed. I wish I could find criticism but I just don't seem to be bugged by anything in this work. Bottom line...I like art that expresses everyday moments :D
Cool concept, the background looks good and the people are nicely detailed.
