I've been in a bit of an art slump lately, but feeding the birds has always been a great distraction from the day-to-day, so I'm happy to see them when they visit the yard. Here's a quick study referenced from photos I snapped.

The weather has been especially cold lately, and when that happens, the birds floof up to trap warmth under their feathers. I love waking up in the morning and walking over to the window to see 30 perfectly spherical chirping pom-poms on the fence.
