Cool colors

Wow so this was cool with the "TWO-COLORS" the "EYE" was looking pretty wicked if you ask me though the shadow underneeth the character was pretty cool too Some added backround on this would be cool But I understand this is to showcase the character, it does seem like theres alot of space from his eye to thee top of his head but maybe thats the intent also, regardless you have some nice work here.

~~THINGS TO IMPROVE ON~~
Really no changes since this is for showcasing a character design but some backround detail would have been nice.

Legs

I said it on another character of yours as well, but I mean it here too. Those legs, i'd definitely mess with 'em. It seems like you spent a lot of time (time well spent) on his arms and his head, and that connection from body to head. All really really well designed. As a result though the legs feel like dunno.. normal.. I'd say find a way to incorporate that gemmed motif in the legs, or mess with the way his feet look. For a creature with such mutated arms, i'd expect him to have somewhat of the same mutation in his legs. Play with it. Cheers

I think I like the shaded one better...

The one on the left (shaded) would make for a better game character as well (maybe make the light reflected off his head a bit smaller though). Try making him darker, that would be interesting. I really like the design though.

Doubled

Poor thing must have terrible depth perception. Almost reminds me of a Pokemon, too, but Pokemon don't have angry faces. So it's definitely not one.
