This is my entry for Jazza's April 2017 challenge of the month: Tradigital. I am a 15 year old who enjoys doing art in my free time. The left half of this piece is digital vector art, which I only started experimenting with a few months ago. The right half is traditional pencil sketch done on paper and then scanned, and I have been sketching for more than 5 years now. This whole piece took over 20 hours, mostly spent on the digital section since I was quite new to it. The digital section is the "dream", illustrating how perfect digital art can be. The traditional section is "reality", showing how realistic traditional art can be, how it truly presents the amount of effort, practice, and time an artists has put in to the work, while at the same time still having imperfections. Putting these two side-to-side also shows how drastic the style of an artist can change from traditional to digital media. This was a very interesting piece to create, and I will definitely be doing more vector art while also continuing to sketch.

Thanks! I am new to Newgrounds so I am not too sure but I believe I entered this into the open category rather than the beginner category since I did have 5 years of sketching experience . But I might be wrong.
