Three pieces of experiment technology undergoing R&D in my fictional world.
“Gold Chip”
A square implant, about 1.5cm by 1.5cm, filled seemingly with highly advanced, possibly alien, tech. Placed onto the skin and kept on via micro-connectors (and easily removable), the implant emits a blue light when active. On activation, the implant works as a complex life support machine, filtering toxins out and providing oxygen and nutrients to cells and tissue even in the event of multiple compromises of bodily function. Someone with the implant active could have their heart surgically removed and can still be alive and conscious for hours after the fact. Body parts separated from the implant lose access to its benefits.
This technology originates from the Agzetl (erroneously referred to by many as the Ang’Zes) people for their rituals. How Cysaro-Pharm acquired the tech is unknown.
“Silver Chip”
Another square implant, about 1.5cm by 1.5cm, from the same origins as the “Gold Chip”; again, how it fell into Cysaro-Pharm’s hands is unknown. It attaches to the skin in the same manner and also emits a blue light when active. This time, the implant is a miniaturised cell factory and 3D printer stuffed into the small device. By analysing the subject’s DNA, it can create new cells and use them to regenerate a multiple variety of body tissue, including cardiac tissue. The wearer can recover wounds, regrow missing body parts and grow new organs. The device has its limits; for some reason it tends to have complications with some forms of nerve tissue and while it can grow a new brain from scratch following a beheading, it cannot regenerate memories, leaving the subject a blank slate.
It works best in conjunction with the “Gold Chip.”
Phase Bracelet
A gold bracelet fitted around the wrist developed by Aristos Enterprises. The bracelet comes with a control panel and multiple settings. When used by the wearer, it can render both itself and the wearer into a state of intangibility. They are not 100% phased out of reality - they don’t fall through the floor and can still breathe - but otherwise they can pass through solid objects with ease. By controlling the power output, the wearer can have some level of interaction with the world; they could phase an arm through a wall, for instance, and their hand can still physically grab a solid object behind the wall.
