Habitats go, species go

Share

A picture for EENet's (Estonian Educational and Research Network) 2010 computer drawing competition. We had a choise of 10 topics and of those I chose "Habitats disappear, species disappear" (clumsy translation, but you get the gist). For this, I portrayed not the death of the elder, but of those that should keep the species going, chicks in this case.

And yes, the eggs somehow got flash-fried.

Its got a nice feel to it

It's got like a nostalgic winnie-the-pooh feel to it. It's kinda cool. However I think it could do with less matte surfaces and more texture. Also something about the placing of the birds nest is... odd. I mean in terms of perspective. It looks like it should be smaller, especially considering the perspective of that tree its on

How the hell were the eggs cooked? surrealism?

You should have worked more on the vehicle, the back doesn't look well. But it's a great job anyway.

Not bad

I think it could use some texture if anything. And I don't think that fertilized bird eggs look like that when they are broken open. And as far as the other's comments on the eggs looking off, I think that you might have just made the shell wall too thick. Good job.

Green.

yes, the eggs do look a little "odd". If there was any other way to improve the tractor by making it greasy or smokey in a way that it would represent the "bad" of community then it would work(for me) but here's an 8 for you.(you shouldn't have covered the sky in my opinion, or at least have that effect of light passing in between the trees or something, just my opinion no need to add all out or something XD)

Wow!

This looks great, did you win the competition?
