Now it's time for some mammalian dragons. This one may resemble a rabbit or a Capricorn, but actually it's based on a Damascus baby goat. In real life, when these goats grow up, they become... ugh... quite ugly, to say the least... o.o Just look at them! - www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFiV4S… (the white goat with glorious curled ears at 3:00)
So yeah, I was in the mood to create a beautiful, elegant, festive and somewhat divine being. With some strange alien hoof fingers, of course. And for some reason it's all sugary sugar as cotton candy, but I like it that way. Of course, if you win it, you can make it whatever you want!
As for the artwork itself... At first, I wanted to paint it entirely in watercolor, but all my small thin brushes were damaged due to constant use. So I couldn't paint thin lines. Instead, I made the lineart with colored pencils. By the way, this is my first work with such combination. It was very tedious to erase all the white space of the original scanned image to make the transparent BG version for this adopt, because such pencil lines are very fuzzy ._.
