In this chapter, Im taking a closer look at Aloy's costume. Studying all aspect of it for my final fan art painting. Understanding your subject is essential if you want the end results to be good. Painting the costume in different angles and views and understanding all the layers underneath gave me a huge boost of confidence to do the final painting.

In the next chapter, im gona apply what i learned here to the poses i did last time and then finally choose my final pose for the final painting.

I admire your hard work and dedication to do full research about a character before trying to paint them. As Aloy does wear a lot of equipment, I can imagine the process of nailing down her design being pretty tough. I hope you do well with making a final piece with her because this shows a lot of promise.

Can't wait to pick up a copy of the game. Looks like another hit for PS4.

I love the process of it.
1- understanding the character
2- doing 10 different poses
3- adding the costume to the poses
4- doing thumbnails for the chosen pose
5- finally doing the illustration.
I try to make the studies more exciting by adding more depth and levels to it. This way i wont get bored and i wont end up with a bad painting.

As for Horizon zero dawn. i think its gona be another PS classic. they did an amazing job on the art and design side. 9 more days :)

This is incredibly intricate. I love seeing the attention to detail like the numerous beads that you have designed, the sashes, and the scabbard for the knife. Yes, I am in absolute agreement with you; knowing every in and outs of a character's design will serve only to better the audience's appreciation of that design. So, absolute kudos on this piece!

Well done. Are your designs are based on celtic/nordic cultures?

Its actually a study of a character already exists in a game called Horizon zero dawn. So the designs arent mine, im trying to extract the elements from an illustration as a practice to enhance my character design skills.
