#Newres – Castlevania Legends

Share

(Art by Joshua Keyes – Characters and scene inspired by Castlevania, owned by Konami)

I decided it might be fun to submit a piece for Jazza’s Contest of the Month: New Resolution #Newres - The goal was to take a scene from a game that was made for a 1990 or prior machine and redraw it in a higher resolution.

I talk more about the process (with in progress pictures) and the take away in this post http://raihnforge.com/2016/01/21/study-castlevania-legends/ on my graphics blog at www.raihnforge.com - ran out of space here t.t

Great job. I love pixel art, and remastered (or New res) versions of pixel art. You plan on doing more? If so, I would love to see Something from a Legend of Zelda game (My fandom) Thanks

Raihn responds:

Thanks! I would love to do something from Zelda, definitely one of my favorite games as well :D

What a treat this is on the eyes. Great job

Raihn responds:
