This is my official entry for Newgrounds's 2010 Pumpkin Carving Contest. This was carved during my family's annual pumpkin carving day, one of our many family traditions. I promise that no one else helped with this work and that this is my own original idea.

This pumpkin's design is relevant to Newgrounds because it uses characters from the classic Egoraptor cartoon "Tall 'n Short". You can view the original short at: /portal/view/477989

Since I'm rushing to get this out in time so that no one else can steal the idea, I haven't been able to take a picture of it at night. I seriously just finished up with this bad boy an hour ago. I'll probably take a picture of it in the dark and with a candle in it tonight and then use that image in this one's place.

Thanks to everyone at Newgrounds for your support.

You just gave me an idea!

Next year, I'm doing a Happy Noodle Boy pumpkin! :)

Neat idea

A neat idea to carve Tall 'n Short in a pumpkin, I guess. Not too much work required here, but on the other hand, the flash that insipired you to do this didn't require too much work as well, heh.

However, the flower bucket in the background should've been moved out of the way before taking this picture. It took me about five minutes to figure out what I was seeing there in the background... ^^

This doesn't really strike me as artistic at all. You've carved two boxes into a pumpkin, one bigger than the other, and written "Tall 'n Short" on it with a sharpie. My only problem with that is that anybody could do that. I could walk outside right now and create this same exact pumpkin in about 5 minutes. There's nothing complex or intriguing about it.

Sorry, but I just don't understand this at all.

ZJ responds:

You could have done any bit of art. Hypothetically, you could have painted the Mona Lisa or whatever, given enough time. The fact is that you didn't do it. I did.
