Thank you for the few of you who are following on this platform. This is my first time uploading a new picture on here instead of one of my previously finished works.

This was a character I had my eyes on for a while. My main issue had always been I didn't know what to really do with Daria. Sure, I could just put her in stocks and make a valid pic, but I wanted to do something special.

Is that what I came up with? Well...

I wanted to create a scenario that would be somewhat in character for Daria. My thoughts were, "Oh, I'll do a pic of her as a broke college student and she does a tickle gig to pay rent," but that doesn't really work cause Daria's a rich kid. "Oh, I'll her tickled in like, a dorm room by a kinky roommate." But then like, why would anyone wanna see some roommate OC instead of Jane? And then I went back to, "This isn't in character for Jane or Daria!"

So I said screw it, Jane's tickling Daria because that's what we wanna see, two sticks in the mud smiling for once over a lighthearted and playful activity. Sure, they're smiling for different reasons, but sometimes you just have to throw stuff like "being in character" outta the window. I left the lines black to preserve a semblance of the show's artstyle, too.
