I'll be candid with you. I'm not supportive of the BLM movement. In fact, I think the political sphere has become clouded by resentment to the point where people can't see each others humanity amongst the overwhelming outrage.
However, I can't tell you in words how fitting it is to have a character like Miles Morales be a symbol for the change that NEEDS to happen. He is a hero; a mixed-race (Hispanic and Black) son of an officer who wants to rise to the needs of the people. He is a representation of not only both sides of the issue of policing and racial issues, but of America as an ideal of unity and compromise. He stands against the prejudice and fear being used by the zealots and extremists on each side of the aisle, reminding us that if America is to stand tall and proud, we need to work together and come up with a solution for all instead of trying to 'win' because we are all in this together.
So, I love this picture. Thank you for posting it.
