The feeling this gave me as I was doing it reminded me of Fear of Ghosts, finding a reflection of yourself that perhaps you didn't want to see, and the feeling of desperation, being pulled down.

I did keep those lyrics in mind when painting and heard to the song and its demo multiple times.
