I wanted to do another painting of Imogen, and in that I wanted to try and do a painting that had a lot more detail and visual interest that what I normally do. Its funny when I think back to when I first came up with Imogen and the story of the "Coffin Boy" and how much it has changed. It was a very organic process, and in a way I wanted this image to reflect how I feel right now. I feel I'm in a good place and I wanted something light and bright, and a reminder that spring is coming. My new house is all but ready and I feel like I'm moving in the right direction.

Imogen is a character that I feel very close to, much like how I feel about Minorue. The reason being is that even though I am a proud Wiccan now, I grew up Roman Catholic. And the story of the Coffin Boy explores my frustration, curiosity, and connection with Catholicism, and much of organized religion.

I am very proud of this painting, I feel I'm really improving and developing my talent, not just in painting but also my singing.
