Wipe the tears from those soft eyes.
I know you're feeling pain.
But look, my child, up to the skies;
I'm watching through the rain.
I know they've hurt you, little one
and I've seen the tears you've shed.
I've watched you softly cry yourself
to sleep upon your bed.

I see the bruises on your skin
and I hear your aching heart.
And I know the things theyâEUTMve done to you
are tearing you apart.
But know I'm always with you,
even when it seems I've gone.
Remember that, and I'll be there
to help you carry on.

Little child I know youâEUTMre hurt,
but youâEUTMre a child of mine.
And even you will have your place
within my grand design.
So wipe the tears from those soft eyes,
IâEUTMll take away your pain.
And look, my child, up to the skies;
I'm watching through the rain.

The picture was an illustration I made for the poem, which I might expand if I ever get further inspiration. I like the whole 'rough-around-the-edges' look that it has, and I think it turned out all right. Be sure to give me some feedback on this!

Very nice. i really like your anime style, as well as your writing style. I found your poem very touching and sweet. I especially like her eyes. They're so pretty :3

As for constructive criticism, her hands look a little...interesting. Of course, hands are probably some of the hardest parts to draw. But just keep practicing!

Philmiranda responds:

I wasn't really all that fond of the hands either. Hands are my Achilles heel, and I'm trying to work on that. But I'm glad you enjoyed the rest of it, and thank you for the feedback!

Wow, thanks for the kind words! I was hoping that at least one person would like this, so I'm glad you think it's good!
