Storm Ruler

Hewwo, I drew up Storm Ruler from Dark Souls 3 (and I think demon souls?? although that one looks different, idk the lore behind that game.)

I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out and I'll start off with some stuff that I did wrong.

to start, Storm Ruler isn't centered on the page, it's to the left a tiny bit. I didn't wanna start over and bought a ruler after I drew the sword lol.

Second, the "wind" that is wrapping around the sword could have been done better but I didn't know how to make it look more powerful with just lines.

Third, I understand that the piece might be a little hard to decipher, like the background is competing with the sword. It is for sure because I just had a lot of fun drawing the background and wasn't thinking about how it would make the piece work. But, I'm still happy with it and it was fun to give one of my pieces an actual background, which is the arena you fight Yhorm the Giant in in Dark Souls 3.

Lastly, I know the piece is at a slight angle too. I didn't own a ruler until I was half way through this piece haha so hopefully it isn't TOO horrible.

I actually used some acrylic ink that I use for my flash designs to color the fabric wrapping around the sword and I think that gave it's design a much needed boost and it also helps separate it from all the parts of the drawing that are competing for attention.

I am also qute pleased with the bricks in the pillars and the background.

Anyway, I had fun with this one and I hope you all like it too. Below are some close ups. Let me know how you feel pls!
