Author Comments

In the 2009 watercolour summer class, we had to copy an image of an animal from a calender. I chose a pond fish and replicated it as best as I could. I changed the background, though, and added a hooked worm for an extra touch.

This remains one of my favourite paintings of mine.

Great

Another great piece of work here, only thing I would suggest is the back fin of the fish looks like it is cut off or not there?

Other then that, everything looks great. I like how you made the "underwater" effect with just paints, and basic strokes.

Either the reference picture had no tail fin, or I intentionally left it out.
