I've done a few covers and concept artses for fellow authors in Storyshift (which you should check out if you haven't already http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/634402).
This particular one was done for http://coop.newgrounds.com/. I don`t have much else to say except holy buttballs his story description is awesome.

"Watch your step, adventurer. The realm of Sarthen is ripe for adventure and danger, Kezan gets caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. Now he must use his brute force and ignorance to help his new accomplice, Avella, to escape their current predicament and perhaps turn an unmitigated disaster into a tidy profit."

Seriously-- check storyshift out, read some damn stories, vote on the outcome, and wait a little bit to see what happens next. The power is in the hands of the readers.

NOW GO ABUSE THAT POWER

Of everything here, it's the torch backlighting the title that impresses me most. It's a great touch.

Hope I don't fuck it up!

Seriously, you've really helped me to get this story off the ground and that is worth more than merely just a stock image that has caused this piece to start with. I've now got a good idea from talking this through over a few months about where the pair of them are going (aside from around a dungeon, trying to escape with their lives, that is). Not that I'm going to tell you what my ideas are.

You've got more than merely "some skill" with the tools of an artist and I've got a few ideas to throw your way for "future projects"

Clever use of shading, to go with the underground / torch lit look to the piece and showing off the fact that these two have been prisoners for an indeterminate amount of time - you can almost smell the stale sweat that this image conjures up.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have more to write on this story.

Great work with the lighting, really pops out the font of the title and brings out the darkness of the surroundings in the scene. Armor and weapons are well made, they look as if they were recreated from real blueprints of ancient gear. Colors are consistent and characters show CHARACTER. Keep up the great work, you're an amazing artist!
