Nena's Golden Circlet

**WOW front page!** truly honored!, I'm glad you guys like me portrait series as much as I am learning from it. Keep making this place the welcoming community for all type of arts that it has been for so long. sheers
Here we are, a very personal piece but it turned public because of the amount of trials I went through before finally feeling happy with the results, I most have tried to do this piece about seven times, each time I drew better than the last one. The picture i used for reference was rather small.

Did this one in one sitting, about 6 hours done completely on Paint Tool Sai. I had the soundtrack for the last of the Mohicans "The Kiss" on repeat.(that violin man!)

OzynO responds:

I made it, so if she decides to get printed on a canvas, it would look right (wink wink)

"Fine Art" is a category tat perfectly fits this beautiful artwork, and it's an impressive feat to have been making this amazing bit of art in one sitting. Kudos!

OzynO responds:

Thank you very much

Excellent! Great, just great. What were you thinking when you drew this?

OzynO responds:

I had a picture of her that I really liked but it was so small and full of noise that I could never use it as a reference. But a song started playing late at night and it just stroke the right cord, I felt like I knew how to paint it.
The trick was not to sketch it. so I just started placing colors and payed attentions to the values.
