Now that we are done with the dwarves, now we can go to the aloof but usually benevolent long eared folk of the woods: the elves.

Ralthion the Wielder of the Land Cutter

Elves in general are not a race suited for strength and durability, their thin frames and inclination towards dexterity often ensures this. Like with many other races though, there are elves that break the mold. Ralthion was training to be a mage, but soon found that he really didn't have a knack for it even with the help of his grandfather who was an archmage. Saddened but determined, he decided to look through his grandfather's collection of relics hoping to find something to help him improve his magic. What he ended up finding instead was a large stone sword that was known as the Land Cutter, an extremely powerful sword crafted by earth giants that had a unique enchantment: the sword itself is already heavy, but whoever is unworthy of wielding it will find it IMPOSSIBLY heavy. For generations, countless adventurers of numerous races tried to lift the sword: humans, dwarves, goblins, orcs, minotaurs, ogres, onis, and even other giantshave tried to lift the sword but could not!

Ralthion was familiar with the legends and for fun decided to try and lift it himself... He soon found himself hefting a huge rocky claymore bigger than himself almost effortlessly and holding it above himself in a pose that would make King Arthur proud. The amazed elf realized his calling, he took up swordsmanship and found himself becoming a great swordsman. After training with normal swords, he returned to using the Land Cutter and has now made a name for himself as an adventurer. The Land Cutter itself is able to go through steel and adamantine like a hot knife through butter and can take dragon fire like it was nothing, creating a great magic barrier that protects it's wielder and anyone around it. The Land Cutter had chosen well, for as smug Ralthion was he had a good heart and was very eager to use the Land Cutter's abilities to protect those who could not fight.
