Thomas The Tank Engine: Annie and Clarabel Humanized

Share

I felt like drawing more Thomas The Tank Engine characters as humans, so here are Annie and Clarabel! I was going to make them look drastically different at first, but I decided not to. They two coaches are practically twins so I just made one difference to tell them apart (that being their hairstyles).

Since I'm no so good at drawing perspectives, let me give you context: Annie is on the left. Clarabel is on the right. Clarabel is holding Annie back from trying to hurt Gordon after saying some nasty things to Thomas. Clarabel is blushing because she's embarrassed that Annie might make a scene.

In my eyes, I see Annie and Clarabel as teacher/mentor figures to Thomas. The two are always there to guide and defend Thomas, kind of like the Crystal Gems are to Steven in Steven Universe. I like to think Annie always has Thomas' back (because she's literally right behind him ha ha ha so funny and original) and is right there to defend him when necessary. Clarabel will back up Annie, but she's not as assertive as her twin.

Also, did you know that Teresa Gallagher (the voice of Annie and Clarabel) voices Nicole Watterson from The Amazing World of Gumball? It's kinda difficult to see how she voices two completely different characters but it's the truth! It's amazing what voice actors are capable of :D
