I have been working on this FOR A YEAR AND A HALF. FINALLY IT IS DONE. And, heh, it's funny because it's not even the best thing I've ever done, it's just big. Like 50" x 40" big. I stretched the canvas myself! Well, kinda canvas. I improvised and made it out of 2x4s and a cotton sheet covered in gesso.
I started it way back in late 2015 after I didn't win the Illustrators of the Future Contest as an attempt to give it another shot. And, a year and a half later, I have, as of yesterday, done that!... but I didn't put this as an entry. I had another three pieces I worked on that were much better. Sadly, because of the contest rules, once again I can't show them to all of you until the contest is over. This dude, however, I can finally share!
So, um, some info, yeah, it's 50" x 40", oil on "canvas". Kinda abstract, but also kinda concept art for an idea I've had for a while for a vidya game. Coliseum in a cyberpunk future, yadda yadda that kind of stuff. I imagine this would go very well hanging above a couch in some fancy high ceilinged apartment. Too bad I don't have one. Reeeaaally should've thought that out.
That's about all I can think of to say about this one, so I'll cut it short here I suppose. See you later, everyone, have a nice day!
