Sailor Moon S: Infinity Arc's Finale

You can say a lot about 90's "Sailor Moon" anime. It was naive, even goofy at times, but it also had such gorgeous episodes as Infinity Arc's finale. They've never riched that high again (sorry, "Sailor Moon: Sailor Stars", you tried!) - this is the highest point of the show, everything is at it's place, and it shows so freaking good what makes Sailor Moon such a great character!.. I literally shed a tear when Usagi appeared without her heart talisman - silent, unfocused... empty - AND STILL being able to carefully hold little Hotaru having only her strong will and faith in Humanity! Such a powerful scene, such a beautiful image!..

she had a child

NektoInoi responds:

In some way I think Hotaru was MORE Usagi's child than even Chibiusa - Sailor Moon protected her when the whole World wanted this girl dead, and literally gave her new life (considering that I found the fact Sailor Saturn's fuku kinda reminds Sailor Moon's uniform with a pin that reminds her heart talisman on this picture very symbolic!) I wish Hotaru was raised by Usagi at some point, 'cause otherwise this connection easilly goes into nowhere((

I didn't watch the show much growing up, but I do appreciate the art, you did a good job.

NektoInoi responds:

Thank you, I very appreciate it))

Spectacular. Yes, there were goofy moments, but there were also strong moments that I still remember as well. Great job.

NektoInoi responds:

Thank you for your kind words...))

My all time favourite scene! This is so great and amazing!

NektoInoi responds:

In that case I'm very glad you enjoyed it, dear) Thank you!~

As a avid lover of sailor moon i feel compelled to gush about how beautiful this artistry is ,especially at this pivotal moment in the series. the power of the messiah of silence and the one who wished to save everything. the struggle for light and dark. no one single moment was more powerful and gorgeous at the same time. the end of life and the starting of a new one. bravo ,you did well my friend.

NektoInoi responds:

Thank you so much!..~ I was actually afraid of failing to show such a powerful scene, so I am happy to hear that I was wrong (even for a little bit)! Very glad you enjoy this little piece, dear!~
