The Nostalgia Movement becomes the central driving force for most major cities by the end of the 21st Century. The ethos of the movement is to intertwine pre-1945 glamour with modern day comforts.
People shop from independent grocers, rather than superstores, civilians rent electrified classically inspired vehicles and plastic mass-produced items are dismissed in favour of locally crafted items by skilled tradesmen.
Anything that counteracts this movement has been demolished, burnt or thrown outside the city walls and never mentioned again. Anyone who fails to adjust to the strict standards is quietly removed from society and relocated to the 'anti-Nostalgic' wastelands outside the city walls.
Lizard Dude, a lanky teenager with a fascination for lizards and professional wrestling is about to join them.
