Good first try at doing pixelart although you had way too many colors and shades try to limit your shades to at most 5 tones and i recommend researching hueshiting as it makes your colors more vibrant and overall better.
Also this isnt really pixelart more oekaekai [dunno if I'm saying it right] for something to be pixelart it requires that every pixel to be placed intentionally and as clearly seen here blur tools that kinda makes it not pixelart???
You should strive to what you were doing the in last frames of the animation

You had me at the shading and detail, but then that transition, oh my! Great work!
