JDex: Dex's Head 3D Render

I just got Blender a day or 2 ago and and this is my first model.
I made a model of the main character (named Dex) of that comic I'm working on, JDex, to use mostly as a reference model for more dynamic camera shots.
The model is not rigged, the facial expressions were done manually. I'm not sure how I'm going to rig the eyes, as spheres can't fit in his head. The Iris in his eyes are just floating above them.
I'm working on another model to work out rigging on, a character with more standard proportions (It's Paul McCartney in his Beatles SatAM cartoon style). And after I figure it out I'm going to go back and make a bod for this one.
