The Queen's Portrait

Author Comments

There are obvious influences in the crown and hair from Princess Zelda from the Legend of Zelda, but I also looked at Indian and Greek clothing and jewellery. The monkey is sort of a Patas monkey but I took some liberty with him.

I hope you like it, flaws included. I wanted the woman to be confident but silent, in contrast with the fellow on her shoulder. So, I focused less on perfection and more with her quiet regal quality.

Monkeys make interesting pets, apparently.

beautiful

the queen

and what is the kingdom of her?

monkey

the detail in character is amazing but the monkey gives this picture the missing edge and makes it stick in your head
great piece

wow

great i like the lighting
the money looks a bit weird though

Morgadeshou responds:

The monkey is imperfect but to be honest, I'm unwilling to change it. Sometimes weirdness is better than overworking a feature that overpowers another detail.

Good

Good perspective and a solid character and full of details especially in the crown, jewels and the metallic sheen is well managed.
