Mother Ending

I made the ending I'd liked to see after finishing Earthbound.

It'd be a dream to work in a remake of it. No 3d, just some extra and well crafted pixels with a Ghibli touch

There's a lot of work in this animation. At the beginning I planned to do only the lower scene with Ness and his friends, but then I realized that

I wanted to show their faces. Sketching, I came up to this idea of an animated comic panel.

Wonderfull work dude, just a wonderfull work !

This is really, really good. I think you did justice to how the ending felt. You got the colors looking pretty authentic too.

Comment unrelated to my review:

I disagree about remaking earthbound in only 2d. It's one of few games I think I'd rather see in 3d than 2d, honestly. I think 3d in the style of the clay figures seen in earthbound promotional material would look amazing, and I personally would never combine earthbound with ghibli's style.

I think a lot of the charm to earthbound comes from how gross a lot of enemies are, and I don't think that aspect can mix well with ghibli.

I imagine a 3D remake with an overworld that looks similar to Link's awakening on switch. For enemy encounters, I imagine toonish, yet detailed renders of the ridiculous enemy designs. I'm not saying "make it realistic", It's more that I think the enemy designs of earthbound would look humorous in a more detailed rendering. Does that make sense to imagine? lol

Anyway, this piece is great. The style works really well for this part of the game

Holy shit this is beautiful.

Aaaah it's so beatiful!
I played earthbound some time ago but got stuck at something and just forgot about it. Maybe I should try again...
