Crypt of the moon blood cult

Artwork AVAILABLE FOR LICENSING, feel free to contact me if interested! :) ⚔️🌕

This artwork have been created with quite special technique. I did the same drawing on four different papers focusing on different details and light surfaces then reconnect all of them with different light settings again in PC. Pretty happy with the result:)

The artwork is inspired by Bosco del Sasseto. Wonderful place in Italy.

I am open for comissions!

not the "what" or the "why"..here it is the "how" that is most interesting. thanks for sharing and also thanks for posting on your profile how you pulled this one off.

And now all we have to do is wait for certain raven to sit on the tree and say: "Nevermore". Your work made me immediately think of Edgar Allan Poe's writings - it's dark, it's gothic, even its title sounds like a name of Poe's unknown story ;)

Great work, reminds me of metallic scratch paper. Was this done with pencil or with wire and scratch paper?

moonroot responds:

Thank you! :) No, I did it with technique which I never seen anywhere else before. This was kind of a test drawing of this technique at the beginning, I just wanted to find out if it will really work and it does! This drawing have been done on four different pieces of paper + one used as a sketch/template for the four others.
Each drawing have been done separately on a light desk then separately scanned in 800 dpi. Each paper represents one layer of lights. 0 for the deepest shadows, III for the brighter lights, the papers were white, the most normal white papers you can get with using just a Faber Castell marker for the details. After the scanning of wach part, I made each "layer" transparent and adjust its light and transparency. Then I all connected them into this one piece. Just uploaded a photography of all four layers on the latest news, be sure to take a look at it! :)
