If the title didn't make it obvious, its me drawn in my style.

Also tried out using paths to do outlines. I think its an improvement.

As always, critique welcome (and encouraged).

A little square in places...

A very good looking piece, but I think that there are a few small issues with corners where there should not really be any (granted, I've not seen a picture of you to compare to, but...

I think that you need to spend more time rounding off the outlines of the breasts and the chin - they look too pointy to be natural and they do look quite out of place within the rest of the image.

Perhaps a little work is required to 'level out' the eye line, since it looks as if the left eye as you look out of the image is slightly too high. A little more work could be done with the shading, which would pay back a lot of dividends.

Mismatched responds:

Well I was trying to follow a pointy manga style on this picture. Guess it didn't work out too well. Next pictures will be more rounded.

Thanks for the review.

The shading in this is probably one of the strongest parts of the piece; it adds that extra dimension and makes it seem a lot more realistic. Especially how you've got little bits of shadow even under the glasses and around the ears. Though the shadow of the head onto the hair could have maybe been a little more broken up as I'm sure things shadowing onto hair wouldn't have that smooth a silhouette. The hair in general also could have maybe used a few more layers, but is fine as it is.

The eyes are nicely drawn, though the one on my left looks a little oddly shaped. The one on the right however is really cool, especially the little circle of lighter blue in the top-right of the iris; nice subtle touch. it's a little weird that she doesn't have any eyelashes, but moreso that she doesn't seem to have any eyebrows? I don't know, it just makes the forehead feel a little vacant. The ear could use some work-the secondmost outer line definitely goes a little too far down and in general the inner lines are too thick. But from what I've read, you're already pretty aware of this, and in general it's a pretty good effort (I could never draw ears, aha), but it could use some finetuning.

As has already been said, the chest area needs a second look. The shading would probably work, were the lines of them not so severe. As it is, it leaves them looking a bit flat and 2D, so maybe experiment with a few more ways of getting them looking more dimensioned and less angular.

In general, this is nicely done. A few things need working on, but you're definitely heading in t'right direction.

Mismatched responds:

Thanks for the review. I'll try and take all that into consideration.

On the eyebrows, I was trying to represent them with the top line of the eyes. Looking back on it now, that wasn't such a good idea.

I love the use of a shadow here behind your character. It's really a nice touch. The background was also nice and it brought your character to the main attention very nicely. The hair, face, and picture as a whole was done very nicely. It's really a good picture all around.

Starting from the top down I'll talk about a few things. The hair was done nicely, but I do feel that there could have been some more detail put in it. Not bad whatsoever though.

The eyes are nice big like that and they show us your style a bit. The glasses really add to the eyes and make them pretty. There are no eyelashes though? It does seem a bit odd without eyelashes. Perhaps that's something you could have added.

The ear gets a bit sloppy and I think this could have been improved if you used a thinner black line. The pointy chin is also a bit odd. It looks like a style you like to use, but I do think a rounder chin would look better here. The mouth is done well enough and the toothpick is really cool. It keeps the picture from being empty.

On to the breasts (it does feel a bit odd reviewing your breasts, but oh well). I find that there isn't much depth to them. They don't look like they have too much of a shape to them in the picture and perhaps this could have been more evident if you used a line to represent the inter parts of your breasts.

Like I said all around this was a good picture. There were a few bits and pieces that I think you could have improved on, but it's pretty good. Another thing that I didn't mention was that you used great colors throughout the entire thing. Keep up the good work.

Mismatched responds:

Eh heh. I'm still very much in practice. Seems I need to work on the ears too.
Y'know, adding eyelashes never occured to me when drawing this. Certainly something to remember next time.

Thanks a lot for the review.

Good style

I really like the style of the drawing. It's very comic like, but it's also appealing to the eye.

I especially like the body in this drawing, it looks very realistic. The head needs a few more details, though, especially the face. The chin is too pointy and I think the bridge of the nose could be worked out a bit more.

Also the right breast looks a bit weird the way it is drawn. I would expect it to be a bit more "round" from the point of view I have.

Mismatched responds:

I'm really glad you (and other people) are liking my drawing, despite the pointiness. I'll keep what you've said in mind on my next drawing.

Thanks for the review.

Nice art...

I think you made a nice drawing, the colors are great, the shading is very nice, too, but i saw that the eyes are a bit out of perspective, the glasses are really nice.

Your drawing style is very good, but, the body shape is a bit too weird, the head seems to be too small compared to the body, I just think you could improve this, and make more realistic drawings, but, if you like and wanna do anime-style drawings, that's awesome...

Keep it up!!

Mismatched responds:

Head too small? Now I know I need to work on anatomy. I occasionally thought it was too big.
Afraid I probably won't go into more realistic drawings though. (But thats not 100%) This is just the style I like.

Thanks alot for the review.
