Sketchswap (with Morthagg)

Author Comments

This is for the sketchswap competition where the theme was beauty and the beast. Morthagg did the sketch on the bottom corner! (Thank you for it, it was fun to work with!)
This is also my first uploaded piece here on Newgrounds.
I completed this a bit later than I would have liked. Here in the UK it's still the 16th... but I might be a little late.
There are a couple of things on here that I would like to change but I feel like I would end up spending a dozen more hours on it, which is time I sadly don't have. This is all my fault for managing my time badly though, haha.

This is a beautiful drawing, featuring a beautiful girl that reminds me of Jessica Rabbit somehow. At the same time the beast is the one to look humble, considering how she's holding the leash, how you can't see her eyes... and I guess the fangs are another hint. Nice take on the Beauty/Beast concept, and very well done! Seeing the original sketch that the bottom is an interesting addition, shows the change and progress. Keep it up!

Milkytentacles responds:

Hey, thanks so much!

Awesome job! This was a great competition, and I must say you did a better job than I did with shading and texturing and such. Just sayin'. ;) I really like her hair and how the hand around the leash is posed; it has a really strong grip, which kinda contrasts with her delicate complexion and benevolent glee? So something there just really works. Nice!

Milkytentacles responds:

I was actually a bit displeased with some of the shading and texturing, haha. Thanks a lot!
