Last Christmas, my friend wanted me to paint a Superman painting for him so that he could give it to his friend. He said he wanted him flying, so I opted for this. I wanted to originally put black and white buildings in the background like he was flying over them, but it didn't look right and took away from Superman's aesthetic so I took them out and just went with the plain black. Unfortunately, the quality of the photo doesn't do this painting justice, as the lighting was poor when I took the photo.

Done on 16x20 in canvas with acrylic paint.
