This month, I am starting a drawing project that involves five of my favourite Iron Maiden singles also known as "Maiden March Art Project"
Number 3: Stranger In A Strange Land
When I was listening through the song's lyric by playing Stranger In A Strange Land, It makes me wonder how Adrian Smith produces such a mid-pace tempo to make it sound extraterrestrial. This song, Stranger In A Strange Land tells about an Arctic explorer who dies in a frozen block of ice. After a hundred years later, his body is found preserve by other people exploring the outworld. I love how the guitar play in an electronic vibe and it also allowed Adrian to give him "space to play in" citing the aesthetic theme of the album, Somewhere in Time. I inspired my take of Maiden's Stranger In A Strange Land by taking landscape elements from Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son whereas the context relies on a strange bigfoot-like creature roaming in the land of glaciers, even the abandoned spaceship fits well into the snow atmosphere.
