Nicely done! The individual pieces of colored rice reminds me of the individual brush stokes in a Van Gogh painting. Good job and good luck!
This is my entry for Jazza's August 2017 COTM.

I used rice, food coloring, and glue to make this piece. I dyed the rice with the food coloring by putting a few drops of food coloring into a plastic bag with some rice and mixing it around to get the colors I wanted. Then I glued the rice pieces one by one to a 9x12 panel, using a toothpick to position them.
It took me between 35-40 hours over 2 weeks to complete this artwork. About half way through, I wanted to quit because of how long it was taking, but I kept on going and I am happy I did.
