Frieza Kahlo

Art history, puns and anime of the 80s/90s... Three loves of mine all in one picture!

No disrespect intended towards Frida Kahlo. I appreciate her work and think she is a great woman. Just as Frieza is.

Frieza- Akira Toriyama
art- Holly Hansel
Frida Kahlo- Frida Kahlo (tautology much?)

that awkward moment when Frieza is 100 times more attractive than that travesty in the original peinting

That is ridiculous! I love this combo...they fit so well together!

I love it, this is really good.

..........this is brilliant

This is the weirdest f**king thing I know I'll be seeing this month (Oh and how often do I surf the Internet) yet its a great and original madness, I liked it a lot, and knowing what I know about Frida she'll be laughing too (Diego might be the one complaining) the mix as crazy as it is works great and is funny even when the art itself feels serious (May be the painting-like colouring) Congratulations on this magnificent piece!

*PD.- Diego Rivera was Khalo's husband and he was quite a grumpy bastard, and also a great artist.

This is brilliant, could be a bit more defined overall. Love the lil stache.

Madame-origami responds:

Oh hey! You're the bloke who scouts me! Nice to finally meet (well, not really since you probably won't see this message xp). Thank you very much!
And I agree- I rushed through this and left it a bit too watery. I might fix the flowers and a few details one day when I'm not working on another project.
