Mix N Match - The Firewielder

Author Comments

This is my entry for the mix n match challenge of the month! For the character I chose a hairy professor, who loves drawing and wields fire, and for the environment I chose the green clean park, floating in space, featuring an alien race. With the themes of aliens/space I thought of making the professor an alien herself, so I made her a sort of kangaroo or dragon type thing. She is technically hairy so I hope it still counts, eheh. I combined her passion for drawing with her fire-wielding ability, so she likes to draw with her fire. The creatures in the background are the required addition to the environment, and since there is a professor, I like to think that these aliens are her students perhaps?
I think I managed to include everything, I just hope the slight adaptations/changes I made can still qualify the drawing :)

Not bad at all.

The only trouble I have with this piece is that shape in the foreground.

It's a very simple silouhuette and there is nothing else in the same plane as it - no environmental objects or other characters. So it's just a black blob that stops me from seeing the professor for no apperent reason.
Looks kind of annoying and I don't get why it's there.

Otherwise - good job.

I like the arcs of momevent/ fire/ plants in the drawing. I love how the students look at the professor, she must be inspiring!
